Let Go of Fear
Most fears are imaginary. They are stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what is going to happen.
When you feel fearful of the future, you keep yourself from achieving your fullest truth. You have learned fear. At some point, fear has served you. Of course, there are rational fears. The fears to let go of are the ones you think of when you think of what fears are holding you back from being truly you.
When you imagine your fullest self, what fears have you shed? What fears are long forgotten? It’s helpful to visualize yourself feeling this freedom. These feelings will motivate you to make your fullest life a reality.
When you find yourself feeling fearful, observe and name that fear. Use your rational mind to understand what fears are coming from your ego.
Observe the moments when you feel fearful. Then, watch what you do in response to that fear. Begin working on remaining open during these times of fear. Instead of closing off and going back into your shell, see what it's like to remain open even in the face of fear.
You have much courage within you. When you feel fear creep in, name it, sit with it, and release it. Being mindful in these moments is essential. Bring yourself to the present moment. Breathe in your courage, exhale your fear. Imagine the fear leaving your body and leaving you only with greater courage.

To begin. To start. To get going. To begin, to start, maybe the most difficult task we have. We all have hopes and dreams, but we also have self-limiting beliefs. Beliefs that have become ingrained in our DNA. Why? Why is it that the words that bite the deepest are the ones that tell us we aren’t good enough, smart enough, strong enough, pretty enough.
I want you to look at me. Grab my hands and look at me. Don’t look away. Seriously, grab my hands and look at me. I want you to know you that you are enough. Yes, you have the spirit of a champion and it’s time to stop thinking you are not enough.
I want you to believe in yourself as much as I do. I want you to go out an make your mark in the world. What is it that you want to do? What legacy do you want to leave? No matter what your answers are I want to let you know that it won’t be easy, it’s not supposed to be. No one ever tells stories around things that were easy. No one writes great songs because things were easy. Every superhero had to overcome. It’s time for you to be your own superhero.
TAKE ACTION. It’s time to begin.
What Holds You Back
Moving forward means letting go of the past. We can be grateful for what we’ve learned and gained from the past. However, staying in it and wishing to change it, or remaining resentful for many years, will stunt your personal growth.
There are many things you can move on from. In order to best glide forward and reach new heights of happiness and success, there are people to forgive, fears to move on from, and negative people to let go of. You can even let go of yourself and forgive yourself. Set yourself free from all of these things.

Increase your understanding of the world around you by exploring more of it. This does not have to be taxing or time-consuming. You can start exactly where you are.
Start by observing what is around you throughout your day.
Put your phone down while you're in public places, such as the grocery store or the bookstore. You can use these moments to participate in the world around you. Look at your surroundings, at the people around you, and observe yourself in this arena. Keep your head up and try to stay open to those around you.
By showing any willingness to engage in your community, you're opening yourself up to new opportunities for connection. People are typically not as scary as we make them up to be in our heads. By attending local events and activities, you will have the opportunity to have a good time with new people while doing something you enjoy.
Consider these activities for getting involved with the world around you:
Be a tourist in your own town. Spend a weekend seeing the local attractions your town has to offer. Whether it's large or small, pick an adventure and go with it. You can take a walking tour, go to a museum, or participate in a larger group activity.
Try something new. If you’ve never done a team sport, try one! If you’ve never been to a nice restaurant by yourself, try it! You can practice self-compassion while being kind and open to those around you.
Acknowledge the people you see frequently. If you have the same barista three days per week, or you see the same person at the gas station every time, acknowledge them. Though you hardly play a role in each other’s’ lives, you can always uplift each other’s’ days by having a pleasant interaction.
Learn a new language. Take a class or join a group that can help you pick up a new language. Choose a language that’s frequently spoken around you, so you can connect with more people. You can also choose a language of a country that you plan to visit.
By embracing what’s around you, you can use your environment to help you thrive. Living your best life means putting yourself out there in new ways. Do the things you love and learn the things you’ve always wanted to learn. Shed self-doubt so that you can have frequent moments of fearless connection with others and your world.

Do you ever try to write your thoughts, but they’re coming too quickly for you to write them down? Do you have that feeling of overwhelming thoughts frequently? How much time do you spend ruminating on the past?
Imagine a day where you take each moment as it comes and don't think about past moments. Imagine going to sleep at night without replaying all the wrong things you said that day. This freedom is totally possible by practicing a few new things and applying some principles to your daily life.
We all have a little nagging voice in the back of our head that can tend to narrate negative things regularly. That little nagging voice might convince you that you can tell exactly what others are thinking of you. When you believe these things, you're only creating more destruction in your own life.
Instead of replaying each conversation you’ve ever had, focus your attention on the present moment. When we remember the past, we typically see more negative than positive.
Live for today, remember the past with an eye on the future.

The next 6 episodes we will talk about how to CREATE THE LIFE YOU LOVE and Go From How to WoW!
Creating the life you love is perfectly within your reach! By truly embracing yourself, experiencing life for the first time again you’re able to embrace life with excitement, gratitude and positivity!
Step 1: Clear Out All Areas of Doubt
What are your favorite things about your life? What do you need to do in order to make your days, weeks and years complete? Think for a moment about what you're grateful for. It’s possible to feel that gratitude in each moment of the day. Imagine how it might feel to dive into life and pursue your true potential!
What do your days look like? What kind of people are in your life? What is your profession? What hobbies do you make time for?
Shedding Your Doubt
Carrying around negativity and doubt adds a ton of weight to your shoulders. You’re allowed to let go and move on from any doubt you have in your life. It’s okay to be unsure and confused. That’s a natural part of life.
Self-Doubt
Self-doubt is the first thing you want to let go of. If you’re constantly doubting what you say or do, the time has come to make a change. If you lack confidence in any environment, it’s time to transform your thinking.
Your spirit and energy can be totally drained by self-doubt. Sometimes it’s difficult to realize that you’re doubting yourself, especially if self-doubt has become such a natural part of your inner dialogue that you don’t notice it.
Critical Self-Talk
Self-doubt can be caused by the words you say to yourself on a daily basis. The way you see yourself and the world around you is affected by your self-talk.
Begin to change your thinking, it will be difficult to see the many possibilities in your life. If you continue to berate yourself for the way you walk, talk, or breathe, you will only dig yourself further into a hole of negativity.
Doubting Relationships
Think about your community as a whole. Take an aerial view of it and see all of the connections in your life. Think about your barista at the coffee shop, your colleagues at work, your best friends, and any significant other you either have or will have in your life. Do you need more authentic connections in your life?
Let’s start by identifying how you doubt yourself, and how that doubt manifests in your life.
Questions to consider:
● How often do you sacrifice your needs for what others want?
● Do you frequently apologize for things you don’t need to apologize for?
● Have you ever been called or referred to yourself as a people pleaser?
● Do you stop yourself from speaking up for yourself?
Considering these questions can help reveal any self-doubt you hold that you might not realize that you have in your life.

How to Easily Expand Your Comfort Zone
What if I told you I'd give you $1,000 to make an important public speech? Would you take the offer? Like most of us, you probably recoiled immediately at the idea, even though it could be lucrative for you! Why didn’t this idea appeal to you?
When the very thought of certain activities evokes fear or anxiety within you, it's because they're outside your comfort zone. Public speaking, for example, is outside most people's comfort zone.
Your comfort zone is the sphere of activities that you feel comfortable with and that you can accomplish without negative emotions. It also includes people, places, and things that cause only positive thoughts within you.
How Important is Your Comfort Zone?
Your comfort zone can limit your capabilities and cause you to forsake your dreams and goals, or it can spur you on to great things. In fact, your comfort zone can determine both your personality and your potential for success.
Many successful people achieve their goals because they have the ability to expand their comfort zone in order to get what they want.
If you wish to expand your comfort zone, you can mentally condition yourself to be comfortable in new situations so you can overcome your anxiety, achieve your goals, and fulfill your dreams.
Here are some tips you can use to expand your comfort zone and help fight your anxiety about certain situations:
Understand your mindset. Mental conditioning plays a large role in developing your comfort zone. This means that how we form our comfort zones begins in our own mind.
Each of us already has preconceived notions of what may be comfortable and what may not be, and we designate mental guidelines to keep us within our comfort zone.
You have chosen your own comfort zone boundaries! Knowing your boundaries is the first step to being able to expand them.
Disobey some of your self-imposed rules. If you want to expand your comfort zone, you must let yourself loose from the guidelines you impose on yourself. Breaking some of these rules will allow you to seek new experiences that can bring you greater success!
Consider the true risk of a situation. It’s important to know what the true risks are, as opposed to what you feel (or fear) may occur. Knowing the difference can enable you to overcome your limitations.
Challenge yourself to step outside your comfort level. Many times, we are our own worst enemy when it comes to boundaries and limitations. There are times when you’ll have to push yourself to get where you want to be. In these instances, you must meet the challenge to leave your comfort zone.
When stepping outside your comfort zone brings you success, you’ll find that the benefits are well worth the effort!
Whenever you try something for the first time, you’re bound to be a little uncomfortable. We’re all conditioned to fight change and stay in our comfort zones. You may have to remind yourself that only you can push yourself to step outside the box.
Be patient, be aware of your self-imposed limitations, and try things in small steps at a time. This way your comfort zone will expand at a gradual, comfortable pace, and your fears and anxieties will subside as you gain positive experiences.
Keep your dreams in sight! Expanding your comfort zone may be all it takes to achieve your goals and live the life you dream of.

I had an epiphany today. Writing and talking fitness can be boring and I think that sometimes I just sound like Charlie Browns parents.
What is interesting is why living a fit life is important to me. Why now in my 50’s it’s more important than ever. What am I doing, how am I doing it and what crazy bullshit runs through my head?
One night several weeks ago a I threw out an idea to start a podcast called Think and Be Fit: Fitness Redesigned. Why not? Now we have started a closed FB group by the same name. Is just doing pushups enough? Can you use fitness as a cornerstone for change? Absolutely!
How and why would I wake up at 3:30am, go to bed at 9:30pm(ish) and do it all over again the next day most days of the week, when I could punch a clock, make a decent living, earn PTO and worry a lot less? Could I do that if I wasn’t healthy?
It’s kinda funny because years ago one of my sisters said the biggest thing that would hold me back was my education. I didn’t really understand what she meant. I think today I figured it out. Understanding and change takes time. She meant that I was taught to do things in a certain scientific way and so have potentially millions of others, but what those millions haven’t done is experienced life in the way I have. No one has and no one ever will. That gives me a unique perspective on fitness, life, health, love, dreams and oh so much more.
My hope is that you’ll see yourself somewhere in my stories, because I am no different than you are. I have made poor decisions. I have made good decisions. I leave my clothes on the floor when the laundry basket is only a few feet away. I forget to call my mom. I don’t always want to exercise. I drink to much coffee(not sure that is really possible). I don’t tell those I love that I love them enough. I don’t have the type of relationship I dreamed of with my children. I’d like to drink a beer with you. I would like to hear your dreams. I’d like you to share your scars with me. I’ll share mine with you. I want you to know it’s all right to cry. I want you to know love is to be experienced. I want us all to comfortable in our own skin. I want to remind you that there is only one of you, there will only ever be one of you and that makes you pretty special.
